What changes the plan
Describe the current condition and the result you want before asking for a price. A maintenance clean, paint correction and protective treatment are distinct scopes. Ask what is included, excluded and conditional on inspection. A provider should explain limitations without treating every visible defect as something that can safely be removed.
Separate approval of the original quote from permission for extra work. Agree how the workshop will contact you, how a revised price is accepted and whether the collection time changes. Keep a written record rather than relying on an informal conversation at drop-off. If the provider discovers an issue outside its scope, ask for a clear explanation instead of an improvised repair.
Inspect the car in suitable light at collection and compare it with the agreed scope. Ask about care instructions, curing or waiting requirements where relevant and the process for raising a concern. Keep the invoice, material details and photographs together. A useful handover explains what was done and what remains, rather than asking you to accept a vague “like new” promise.
